Chinese car manufacturer, BYD, has increased its focus on fast charging technology in an effort to win over drivers who have traditionally avoided using electric vehicles due to range anxiety and long charging times. The company plans to introduce more models with super-fast "flash" charging as part of its strategy, with plans to build about 20,000 flash-charging stations in China and 6,000 overseas over the next 12 months. Despite a recent slowdown in sales at home, BYd is expanding aggressively overseas, rising to 4.6 million vehicles in 2025, making it the world's No. 5 automaker by volume.
