The store's owners, Ian and Alec Ginsberg, have reported seeing a surge in foot traffic due to the show's "love Story" premiere and increased sales at other New York-based businesses associated with Bessette Kennedy, including eyeglass store Selima Optique and Panna II Garden Indian restaurant. These trends tend to go viral when established brands or products are seen as offering something new to a new demographic. The Ginsberg family has owned the shop since 1939 and maintains several physical aspects of its physical aspects, including original gas-run chandeliers.
