Japan's Hakuhodo DY Music & Pictures has announced a three-title slate at Hong Kong FilMart, including a feature film reboot of "1 Litre of Tears" and an animated youth romance. The book is based on Kito Aya's nonfiction book, which has sold over 2 million copies worldwide. Alongside the adaptation, a separate film will be made from Aya’s memoir, documenting her time with her mother, Kito Shioka. Other notable titles include “You, Fireworks and Promise” and “Parallel and Vertical” which reunites director Kobayashi Shotaro and will be released on August 28.
