Tornado frequency around the Tri-State

The United States recorded a record-breaking 1,559 tornadoes in 2025, the fifth-highest annual total on record. Since 1950, the Tri-State has seen 374 tornadoes, with Warren County recording the most with 36, while Robertson County has seen the fewest with two. This could be due to the large number of large counties in the region.
