St. Charles East's sophomore point guard, Kathlyn Bainbridge, made a transition to being a starter in her second varsity season. She had to adapt to the role and responsibilities, including creating opportunities for her teammates and playing good defense. However, Loyola's Ramblers won 56-34 in the Class 4A Hoffman Estates Supersectional. Despite Bainbridge's strong performance, the loss of Addie Schilb is expected to be a significant loss for the Saints next season. Coach Katie Claussner emphasized that confidence will be a key to Bainbridge’s growth.
