At Brownstone 22 in downtown Salt Lake City, a James Beard finalist, is creating 'wows' with food and design. The building was condemned when owner Bill Campbell bought it in 1992 and underwent extensive renovations. Co-owners Richard Romney and Travis Herbert oversaw the first remodeling the space since 1997. They opened the restaurant in February as a seafood and martini bar with the aim of making it more approachable and chef-driven. The design team behind the renovations included Jamie Clyde and Gary Vlasic from the design firm Project Project. The restaurant's East Coast-style oyster and martin bar was designed by Los Angeles artist Jessyn Brooks.
