Houston defeated Idaho 78-47 in its NCAA Tournament opener after losing last year's championship game. The Cougars, who are currently ranked 29-6 and No. 10 in the South Region, will face No.10 seed Texas A&M in the second round. Kingston Flemings and Emanuel Sharpe scored 18 points for Houston, while Kolton Mitchell scored 14 points for Idaho. The game was played in a tough environment for the 15th-seeded team.
