Team USA beats Canada to set up WBC semis showdown vs. D.R.

The World Baseball Classic (WBC) semifinal match between Team USA and the Dominican Republic will determine which country will advance to the championship game. The United States defeated Canada 5-3, setting up a showdown between the tournament's most talented teams. San Francisco right-hander Logan Webb and Team USA ace Paul Skenes will start against the D.R. The Dominican team has already tied a record for home runs by a team in the WBC with 14. Despite a strong performance from the Dominicans, Team USA's offense has been largely stagnant.
