Dems called out for continuous anti-Trump rhetoric after third assassination attempt during WHCD shooting

Democratic politicians are being criticized for their lack of condemnation of the White House Correspondents' Dinner shooting, which resulted in a third assassination attempt against President Trump. The criticism comes after Sen. Elissa Slotkin (D-Mich.) stated that political violence had no place in America and that the president was an "existential threat to democracy". Meanwhile, former President Joe Biden's call to lower the temperature of American politics has been ignored. Other prominent Democrats, such as failed 2024 vice presidential candidate Tim Walz, have also been critical of President Trump and his administration.
