West Orange Teens Are Learning Lifesaving Skills In The Classroom

Two captains from the West Orange Fire Department have taught local high school students lifesaving skills. The students at West Orange High School are required to learn CPR as part of their health education requirement as seniors. The course includes all necessary steps to give care to an adult, child, and infant in CPR, along with basic first aid. The two firefighters also shared personal accounts of successful 911 calls and the importance of smoke detectors in every home. All the CPR teachers at the high school are American Red Cross-certified.
