Jennifer English, the actor behind Shadowheart, was surprised to see her "finger-guns" gag made it into the final cut of the game. The improvised line was part of a scene where Shadowheart spoke about the Night Orchids and some advice from the Half-Elf. Despite the limitations of time and budget constraints on voice acting and motion capture, Larian Studios allows these actors to improvise.
