The US Supreme Court will hear arguments in a case regarding the Trump administration's attempt to end temporary protected status for Haitians and Syrians. The federal government has been trying for months to revoke the status, which protects certain foreign nationals from deportation. The high court's order includes two cases, Noem v. Dahlia Doe and Trump v. Miot, which requested an emergency ruling, which focused on temporary protected Status for Syrians and Haitians respectively. The government had previously filed an emergency application for a similar case over protections for Syrian immigrants. However, the court denied this request, leaving legal protections in place for now. The move to remove immigrants from their legal status is part of President Donald Trump's efforts to eliminate immigrants altogether.
