The 31-year-old man, Derronta Barefield, was arrested following a police raid on an apartment in the 300 block of Pine Street, Illinois, where he was identified as the suspect. The police recovered a handgun that had been reported stolen, along with ammunition, and suspected cocaine. Barefield was taken into custody without incident and charged with various charges including unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon, possession of an undisclosed stolen firearm, and several counts of delivery of a controlled substance.
