Rattlesnakes out earlier on Front Range trails due to an unusually warm winter

After an unusually warm winter and an even warmer start to spring, rattlesnakes are on the Front Range due to increased temperatures. Dr. Kevin Fitzgerald, a veterinarian in Colorado for over 40 years, has been monitoring over 500 rattlesneaks on the state's eastern Front Range for over a decade. He advised people to give the snakes plenty of space and not to try to move them. If someone is bitten, they should immediately seek medical attention.
