An extreme heat wave is set to occur in Las Vegas, with near-record high temperatures expected to reach 90 degrees, surpassing the record set in 2007. The normal high temperature for this time of the year is 72 degrees. High pressure building into the Southwest will bring temperatures 20-30 degrees above normal this week, with a potential high of 95-100 degrees across the Las Vegas valley, Pahrump & Kingman, and high temperatures in southern Mohave County. An Extreme Extreme Heat Warning will be in effect from 11:00am Wednesday to 8:00pm Sunday for afternoon temperatures. The all-time record for March is expected to be set in 2022.
