Immigration advocates in South Florida have voiced concerns about potential loss of temporary protected status (TPS) to Haitian families. The discussion was led by the Florida Immigrant Coalition and participants described dangerous conditions in Haiti and separation anxiety. The Supreme Court has agreed to review a petition by the Trump administration to end TPS for around 350,000 Haitians living in the United States. The petition is expected to be heard before the court in April.
