A chilly stretch of chilly weather is settling into Northeast Ohio, bringing several nights of frost risk that could potentially threaten early-season plants. The National Weather Service has issued a frost advisory for parts of Northwest Pennsylvania and possible patchy frost is also possible across Northeast Ohio. Daytime highs are expected to reach the low to mid 50s through Saturday, about 10 to 15 degrees below average, while overnight lows dip into the 30s. The greatest concern may come Saturday night into Sunday morning, when the coldest and most widespread low temperatures are expected. Despite this, longer-range outlooks suggest that the current pattern may still favor below-average temperatures across much of the eastern United States into mid-May.
