Louisville Metro Police officers fatally shot a woman who was reportedly experiencing a "mental health or behavioral crisis". The incident occurred on the 9800 block of Vieux Carre Drive near Jeffersontown on March 27. The woman was found locked in a bathroom and making suicidal statements, prompting the police to intervene. Two officers were shot and transported the woman to UofL Hospital, where she was pronounced dead. The involved officers will be placed on administrative leave and their information will be made public within 72 hours.
