Guay Tiew brings Thai noodle bowls to Pearl

The recent addition of Guay Tiew, a counter-service restaurant in Portland's Pearl District, has added to the city's list of popular street food dishes. The restaurant, founded by the team behind Khao Moo Dang and Thai Peacock, serves one of the country's most popular noodle soup bowls. Nearly every item on the menu includes minced pork, braised pork, cracklings, patties and meatballs, and there are vegan options. The owner, Chookiat "Hamm" Saenguraiporn, stated that Portlandians are open to bold, authentic flavors and ordering food quickly.
