The National Weather Service confirmed that three tornadoes touched down in Fresno and Merced counties on Tuesday afternoon, with no reported injuries or fatalities. The twisters occurred between 2:10 p.m. and 5:15 p.pm, with one near Biola and another northeast of Clovis in Fresno County, while another touched down west of Atwater in Merced County. The weather service noted that since 1955, the region has only recorded three days with multiple tornadoes.
