Fairview Park City Schools Superintendent Keith Ahearn has been promoting the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in education to enhance students. The district has used a $30,000 TechCred grant for 30 teachers to train them on various AI platforms designed for integration into classrooms. The grant amount has been doubled through reimbursement requests and the district is training teachers on Khanmigo, a product provided by Khan Academy. Ahaarn believes AI could be a powerful tool to teach students basic skills about problem solving and assist in the creation of creative creativity, critical thinking and problem solving. So far, the district has received $180,000 in funding, which is reimbursed after staff certifications.
