Anthropic shares have been purchased by buyers, pushing the AI giant to $1 trillion, surpassing OpenAI's market capization by over $100 billion. The surge in value is seen on secondary markets, where shares of still-private companies are traded. The company's new model, Claude Mythos, may have contributed to the increase in valuation due to its safety as it warns that it is too dangerous to release. However, demand for OpenAI shares is reportedly waning due to ongoing disputes with the Trump administration over safety protocols. Private stock marketplace Hiive reported that Anthropic shares had surged 211% to roughly $900 over the past three months, while shares of OpenAI have only risen 8.5%.
