Eythos, a Hong Kong-to-Seoul art logistics company, has been pioneering a "slow logistics" approach to reduce carbon emissions and transport costs. The company has implemented seafreight for almost all shipments arriving in Hong Kong, resulting in a 98% reduction in carbon emissions per shipment. This is 60 times lower than air freight for the same volume. Eythos also eliminated waste from single-use materials and used recycled cardboard, recycled foams, and paper-based tapes to ensure crates are eco-friendly and secure. The firm is currently working on the restoration of a vintage rickshaw, which aligns with its broader sustainability goal of extending the lifecycle of objects rather than creating new disposable exhibition materials.
