The U.S. Small Business Administration (S.B) is offering low-interest federal disaster loans to businesses, nonprofits, and residents affected by the recent Kona low storms. The loans are available for both physical damage loans and economic injury disaster loans (EIDLs). Small businesses and most PNPs are eligible only for EIDLes in Kalawao and Kauai. Interest rates are as low as 4% for businesses, 3.625% for PNPPs, and 2.875% for homeowners and renters with terms of up to 30 years. The SBA will provide one-on-one assistance to disaster loan applications once Federal-State Disaster Recovery Centers open through the affected area.
