N.J. city to spend $19K to vanquish a ‘real menace’ ruining pristine waterfront parks

The Hoboken City Council has approved a 9-0 authorization for an emergency contract with Geese Chasers' North Jersey LLC for $18,995. The contract is due to excessive geese waste that has accumulated, affecting the city's waterfront parks. The work will involve a combination of trained border collies and human professionals to clear out the geese and discourage future nesting. The city's contract also includes daily maintenance and a spring 2026 egg addling service.
