Highway 101 crash kills Bay Area couple

A highway crash in Novato, California, has killed Donald Mardon Rosenthal, Elsie Maxwell Rosenthal, a former board member of the Marin Humane Society and a retiree from the finance industry. The crash occurred about 12:20 a.m. on the northbound Highway 101 ramp to eastbound Highway 37. The couple's Toyota Highlander hit a concrete pillar off the road. The California Highway Patrol is still investigating the accident.
