New project to protect endangered seabirds

A new programme to protect one of the UK's most endangered seabirds, the 'Protecting Our Urban Kittiwakes', has been launched by the RSPB and Northern Powergrid. The project will monitor the birds in urban environments where they have made nesting sites on buildings rather than cliff faces. The monitoring will also assist with future urban planning and construction projects in Yorkshire.
