Man accused of kidnapping missing child from another state he met on a dating app

North Carolina man, Justin Newman, has been charged with kidnapping and sexually assaulting a 15-year-old girl whom he allegedly met on a dating app. The arrest came after the Middletown Police Department in Connecticut requested help in finding the girl. Newman was arrested and charged with first-degree kidnapping and statutory rape of a child. He is currently being held without bond at the Brunswick County Detention Center.
