Oregon Rep. Janelle Bynum urges federal help for Americans on MV Hondius hantavirus ship

Oregon Congresswoman Janelle Bynum has called for federal assistance for the 17 American citizens on the MV Hondius hantavirus cruise ship. She has written to Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Acting Director of the CDC, Jay Bhatacharya, for assistance. The doctor who performed the surgeries for the victims has not been provided with guidance on returning home or disembarking the ship. The ship is currently awaiting clearance to dock in the Canary Islands.
