Brooklyn high school football star accidentally shot to death by pal playing with gun: mom

High school football star Ka’mardre Coleman, a 16-year-old boy, was accidentally shot to death in a Brooklyn NYCHA apartment by a friend playing with a gun, according to his mother, Shameka Bannister. The victim was visiting a fourth-floor apartment he was visiting when the gun went off. The suspect, who is not being identified due to his young age, was arrested and charged with manslaughter, criminally negligent homicide and gun possession. Bannisters expressed her desire for justice for her son, who was a standout player for the Sheepshead Bay Sharks and aspired to join law enforcement.
