Democrats are demanding that former Attorney General Pam Bondi testify before Congress, despite President Donald Trump's dismissal. The House Oversight Committee has previously sent Bondi a subpoena to testify under oath about files from Jeffrey Epstein's sex trafficking case. Robert Garcia (D-Calif.), ranking member of the House Oversight committee, stated that Bondi is legally obligated to testify about the Epstein files and should answer for her mishandling them. Other Democrats and critics of the president celebrated Bondi's dismissal, with some questioning why other officials have not been fired yet.
