Existing Home Sales Drop 3.6 Percent in March as Consumer Confidence Wanes

The National Association of Realtors (NAR) has reported a 3.6% decrease in existing home sales in March, largely due to decreased consumer confidence and sluggish job growth. The NAR has now revised its forecast for the full year down to 4.6%. Consumer sentiment also decreased by 11% in April, due to the U.S. war with Iran, rising fuel costs, and increased interest rates. The unemployment rate remained at 4.3% in the unemployment rate.
