The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (The Church) of Utah delivered over 36,000 pounds of food to a food bank in Sterling, Virginia. The delivery was part of the church's mission to serve and give back to communities in need. The food bank's director, Bill Threlkeld, said the donation was crucial for the organization's supply due to high costs of living and low income. The church's participation in the America Gives initiative is also part of this initiative. The distribution marked the 61st delivery of the year, marking the commemoration of the United States' 250th birthday.
