Saudi Arabia's Foreign Minister, Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, has stated that the country reserves the right to act militarily against Iran, following increasing Iranian missile strikes across the region. He accused Iran of having a "hostile view" towards its neighbors and warned against complacency. Farhan also warned against supporting anti-ship cruise missile sites stationed along the Strait of Hormuz and suggested that political and non-political responses to Iran were possible. This follows a series of Iranian missile launches, which have resulted in significant damage to several oil facilities across the Gulf. The country's defense ministry said it had downed four ballistic missiles targeting Riyadh and some debris fell near a refinery south of the city.
