OPD arrests made after gun, credit cards stolen in car theft

Omaha Police Department has made two arrests after a series of car break-ins led to the theft of a firearm, credit cards, and hundreds of dollars. The suspects allegedly stole a firearm and used the stolen credit cards to make hundreds of dollar purchases. The victim, Ali Hassan, reported seeing his car window smashed in and stealing his gun and wallet. OMAHA Police arrested 38-year-old Brent Foote and 42-year old Laura Griffith for multiple charges including multiple charges related to firearm theft and theft. The victims were tracked down to several different locations around the town. The arrests were made after a victim alerted KETV to the police.
