TSA airport screeners could start receiving paid again following President Trump's executive order, effective as early as Monday, following a 43-day period without payouts due to a Democrat-led partial government shutdown. Border czar Tom Homan praised the news, stating that TSA workers, who earn an average of $49,000 per year, were struggling to feed their families or pay their rent. The executive action was taken after talks broke down over funding for DHS, which the Senate unanimously passed a bill to fund all of DHS except parts of Customs and Border Protection.
