The US Supreme Court has upheld Texas' redistricting, ruling in a five-to-three decision. The decision overturns the District Court's judgment that Texas' 2025 congressional map was an unconstitutional racial gerrymander. The court ruled that Texas had met the traditional criteria for interim relief and that federal judges should not change election rules close to an election. This decision is expected to gain Republicans five additional seats in the House of Representatives.
