Loudoun County Public Schools will open on a 2-hour delay on March 3 due to expected freezing temperatures that may impact road conditions. The district has urged families to allow extra time for drivers and students to the bus stops, particularly in areas where ice may be present. The LCPS superintendent, or designee, will decide when schools and administrative offices observe a delayed opening, closing or early release in emergency situations based on recommendation from the Chief Operations Officer. The announcement was made by district officials and encouraged by the public to prioritise safety during morning commences.
