Minnesota State Moorhead senior Halle Balluff helped lead to a school record at the SMSU Challenge, where she played the remaining 27 holes with a score of 1-over par. Her final round 74 matched the Dragons record for the lowest 18-hole round, marking the second time she's been part of the school record. Balluff's performance was attributed to her focus on her team rather than herself, which she credits for her success. The Dragons finished eighth in the 10-team tournament but produced a season-best cumulative score of 685. Balluffed's performance helped the team produce the third-most birdies in the tournament. In 2023, Balluff shot a 75 to break Chelsey (Ouren) McGinnis' record of 76 set in 2009, marking her lowest-career round regardless of competition.
