The creator of Alone in the Dark is remaking a DOS game for Sega Genesis with its own paddle controllers, but it has less than a week to become a reality

Frédérick Raynal, creator of Alone in the Dark, has created a Kickstarter campaign to remade his 1988 DOS Arkanoid clone for Sega Genesis with paddle controllers. The game, POPCORN DUEL + SPINNER, turns the block-breaking game into a two-player battleground in the style of Windjammers. The campaign has yet to meet its €60,000 Kickstarter goal and has been tested with a fully functioning prototype of the paddle controller. Additional rewards can be purchased for various levels including the Genesis / Mega Drive cartridge itself, a pack with a spinner for €120, or a massive "Ultimate Edition" with a 34 cm "Mr. Popcorn" figure.
