Police charge teen for fake protest post at Mall of Georgia

Gwinnett County police have charged a teenager for a false social media post claiming that a protest was being planned for the weekend. The post targeted the Mall of Georgia and the times teens are allowed to be without an adult. Following the false announcement, a second post circulated claiming that the protest had been cancelled. The management company for the shopping center, however, has denied any changes to its hours and stated it had not authorized any protests.
