PetroChina plugs Singapore plant's shortfall with crude from China storage, trackers say

PetroChina has supplied a rare cargo of nearly 2 million barrels of crude oil from storage in China to its half-owned refinery in Singapore, as part of a strategy to offset shortfalls caused by the Iran war. The tanker New Merit loaded the 1.8 million barrels at Dalian in northeast China and delivered it to Singapore's Jurong Island. The shipment was of Murban crude from the UAE, which PetroChina and U.S. major Chevron operate a 50-50 joint venture refinery.
