The onlookers who stumble upon a No Kings Day protest in Michigan

On March 28, thousands of people gathered in Detroit to protest against President Donald Trump's policies, with some calling them an annoyance or worse. Similar protests took place across Michigan across the state, with crowds in Holland, Adrian, West Bloomfield and Lansing expressing their dissatisfaction with the president's policies. In Ann Arbor, a sign read, "I'm tired of this, Grandpa," and another in Battle Creek read, “End The War.” In Detroit, a teacher described the empty chairs of detained students and a mother held up a painting of an explosion, symbolic of American military actions. The White House issued a statement ahead of the protests, stating that only reporters who covered them were paid to cover them.
