A breast cancer survivor, Aisha Patterson, has urged Oklahoma lawmakers to fully fund Medicaid. Patterson was diagnosed with breast cancer in her early 30s and was uninsured. She credits her access to Medicaid for her life-saving treatments, including chemotherapy, 30 rounds of radiation, and more. The state budget hasn't yet been finalized, but lawmakers have suggested that Medicaid Expansion should be removed from the state constitution. Governor Stitt has suggested removing expansion from the constitution, despite voters' approval six years ago.
