U.S. Embassy in Israel tells Americans they are on their own

The aftermath of the U.S.-Iranian strike that killed Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei, has left hundreds of thousands of travelers stranded in several Middle Eastern countries. Airlines including Air France, KLM, United Airlines, Delta Air Lines, American Airlines, and Air India have all cancelled service into cities such as Dubai, Doha, and Tel Aviv. The U.N. Embassy in Israel issued a statement stating it was not in a position to directly assist Americans in leaving Israel, but provided a shuttle service to its border crossing with Egypt. The statement's tone and reference to the right to repatriation was seen as a "courtesy" among stranded travelers.
