Police identify 19-year-old killed in Central Lubbock motorcycle crash

The Lubbock Police Department's Major Crash Investigation Unit is investigating a motorcycle collision that left a 19-year-old man dead. The collision occurred in the 4000 block of 119th Street and resulted in serious injuries to the driver, Austin Reel, who was transported to University Medical Center with serious injuries. The LPD stated that Reel was driving the motorcycle when it hit a raised median and guardrail and was ejected from the vehicle. The investigation is ongoing.
