Costco has released a private-label whiskey, "I Got That Dog in Me," inspired by the chain's $1.50 hot dog and soda food court combo. The bourbon, produced by Rare Character Whiskey, is priced at nearly $90 a bottle and is available exclusively at Costco locations in the Washington, D.C., area. Despite the lack of marketing, the bottles quickly sold out and are now fetching upwards of $500 on the secondary market. Fans have praised Costco for bringing the bottle to shelves and for its self-aware move. The company has maintained the same price point since 1985.
