Senate agrees to fund DHS, except ICE and Border Patrol, in bid to end 40-day shutdown

The Senate has unanimously approved a resolution to reopen the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), without without funding for immigration enforcement and deportation operations. The agreement follows six-week negotiations between the White House, Democrats, and the House. The resolution is expected to garner support from President Donald Trump.
