The U.S.-Mexico-Canada-Agreement (USMCA) is set to be reviewed on its six-year anniversary in July 2026. The partners can either review the agreement and make agreed-upon changes, or make it an update to reflect changes in global circumstances. The last option is to meet in July if one or more of the partners decide to withdraw from the agreement. This comes after concerns were raised by President Donald Trump about the Canadian and Mexican automotive markets, stating that there is no real advantage to the USMCA. No automobile built by any USMca partner is 100% native to that nation, and that is true for vehicles sold by the Big Three US automakers. Concerns have also been raised about Canada's hardline stance towards the U., with 67% of Canadian adults preferring a harder-line stance on trade.
