Parma City Council has approved a $78,353,471 general fund budget for 2026, a 3.4% increase over the 2025 budget. This is in stark contrast to last year's $75,810,513 general fund, which represented an 8% increase from 2024's $70,437,661 budget. The total cost of the budget is $2.5 million. Parma Auditor Brian D. Day stated that this budget reflects a focus on meeting community needs through efficient safety and services. The mayor, Tim DeGeeter, expressed concern over the increasing cost of fuel, stating that the budget was a workable document and that if fuel costs continue to rise, additional funds may be needed.
